Theme: JOY AT THE CENTER. Are you a joyful person?
What does it mean to be joyful in the midst of difficult
human conditions and our crazy world? What is at the
heart of a spirit of joy? In the silence and spaciousness
of time apart, let’s cultivate spiritual attentiveness and
contemplative communion. Joy is situated in an abiding
relationship of infinite love at the interior of being that
wants only to be received and to flow freely outward.
Leader: Trish Stefanik is a resident at Dayspring and
on staff with the Shalem Institute for Spiritual
Formation. Having passion for simplicity and Silence,
hospitality and social justice, the natural world and
the arts, she delights in opening a way for new
awareness, creativity, and compassion.
For Dayspring Church. Others welcome as space permits.
Weekend retreats run Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. The silence begins Friday night after dinner when the leader opens the retreat and introduces the theme. The leader usually offers brief meditations with morning and evening prayers on Saturday. The silence ends late-morning Sunday with a time of sharing and worship, followed by lunch and departure.
The cost for weekend retreats is $220. To reserve a space, please send a $110 deposit with an application you can print from the application page, or pay on line by going to the application page and clicking on payment options.
Dinner on Friday at 7 pm is the first official gathering. You are welcome to arrive and settle in between 3:30 and 6:30 pm on Friday. The retreat will end by 2 pm on Sunday. It is important that you come on a weekend when you can stay for the whole retreat.
