Ember Day, Tuesday, November 30 back

Registration is required as we resume in-person Quiet Days with limited numbers.

We are excited to safely resume offering Ember Days in person!  Registration is now required, with a limit of 8 people per retreat to allow for safe distancing.  Retreatants will wear face coverings indoors, remain at least six feet apart at all times, and bring a bag lunch which they will eat outside.  It will be so good to be together again in spiritual community in person!

Reviving the ancient Christian tradition of quarterly Ember Days, these one-day retreats offer time, silence, beauty and Sabbath rest at the hinges of the year. Each Ember Day will center around a theme suggested by the Earth's season and the season of the church year—Advent, Lent, Pentecost and Ordinary Time. Through reflections on our theme, as well as time for walking, journaling and prayer, a spaciousness of heart can begin to heal the hurried character of our days.

Email Nat Reid at office@dayspringretreat.org to register for a retreat.  The cost to register is $25; if you can’t afford that pay what you are able (payment information will be shared when you contact us to register).  We will send a coronavirus screening form and waiver for you to sign the day before your retreat.

Ember Days are from 10-4 at the Lodge.  We recommend you arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 to allow time to walk from the parking area to the Lodge and to settle in by 10.  Please bring a bag lunch to eat outdoors.  Face coverings are required indoors and outdoors when you can not be at least six feet from others.  You are welcome to bring a lawn chair or camping chair to make your time outside more comfortable.
