Theme: Beauty as an Alternative Path, Power & Practice for Challenging Times
Culturally and individually we often respond to difficulty and chaos in well-worn patterns of conflict, withdrawal, inaction, and anxious fretting. On this retreat we will explore how the spiritual practice of beauty provides an alternative path and power for engaging the uncertainties of our time. Beauty is a process of harmonizing the many disparate parts of life into a satisfying whole. It flows from the soul’s creative partnership with the givens of human life. Our time together will include chanting, movement meditation, and an invitation to the felt experience of beauty throughout the weekend.
Leader: Savannah Kate Coffey is a wholeness coach in private practice, as well as a retreat leader, hospice chaplain, and former staff leader with the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation.
