Divine Light and Inner Renewal as Summer Unfolds – A Weekend Retreat

Theme: Divine Light and Inner Renewal as Summer Unfolds
“The summer solstice doesn’t just mark the longest day—it marks the moment we remember how powerful light really is.” – Yung Pueblo
The approaching Summer Solstice is a divine invitation to pause and reflect with curiosity on our interior lives, our connection to God, and our experience with the natural world. Unfolding within the silence of this retreat weekend, there will be various opportunities to explore the sacred, revitalizing rhythms of growth, rest, and renewal as the Sun stands still. Participants will be encouraged to listen for the divine heartbeat as it sings through Nature’s elements at Dayspring and within the communally shared silence. Reflections will focus on the presence of God’s Light and the abundance of the Summer season and will be accompanied by spiritual practices that cultivate and sustain this awareness.
Leader: Gordon Creamer, creator of the Mission Bridge, currently serves as Program Director at Well for the Journey, a spiritual wellness center in Lutherville, Maryland. Trained as a spiritual director/companion, end-of-life doula, and Reiki practitioner, Gordon welcomes all in discovering the spiritual life as a means of healing, expanding, and flourishing.
Weekend retreats run Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. The silence begins Friday night after dinner when the leader opens the retreat and introduces the theme. The group will gather for brief morning and evening reflections by the leader on Saturday. The silence ends after breakfast Sunday morning with a time of sharing and worship, followed by lunch and departure.
The cost for weekend retreats is $325. A $150 deposit is required to register.
Dinner on Friday at 7 pm is the first official gathering. You are welcome to arrive and settle in between 3:30 and 6:30 pm on Friday. The retreat will end by 2 pm on Sunday. Please plan to stay for the entire retreat.
