Earth as Guide – A Weekend Retreat

Theme: Earth as Guide
The word “human” comes from the Latin word “humus” which means living soil. Come, join me for a weekend of stillness and attentive wonder. We will soak in the silence of meadow, grasshopper, pond and frog aware of the ways the sacred land of Dayspring freely feeds, guides and nourishes in this season of growth. Ponder, what is germinating, what is bursting forth from my living soil?
Leader: Kenzie Raulin is a native of Silver Spring MD, an artist illuminating Earth’s gifts and a contemplative group leader. She is an active member of St.Paul’s UMC and the Wild Earth Spiritual Community, and shares her gifts through Kenzie Raulin Designs.
Weekend retreats run Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. The silence begins Friday night after dinner when the leader opens the retreat and introduces the theme. The group will gather for brief morning and evening reflections by the leader on Saturday. The silence ends after breakfast Sunday morning with a time of sharing and worship, followed by lunch and departure.
The cost for weekend retreats is $325. A $150 deposit is required to register.
Dinner on Friday at 7 pm is the first official gathering. You are welcome to arrive and settle in between 3:30 and 6:30 pm on Friday. The retreat will end by 2 pm on Sunday. Please plan to stay for the entire retreat.
