Hope in Transition: November’s Song – A Weekend Retreat

November 6 - November 8

Theme: Hope in Transition: November’s Song

November’s Song is a threshold melody for pausing between autumn’s surrender and winter’s quiet promise, discovering the unexpected grace that lives in times of transition. As November’s landscape teaches us about letting go—leaves falling, light diminishing, seeds scattering—we too are called to honor our own seasons of transition with gentleness and trust. Through contemplative prayer and reflection, nature walks among bare branches, and gentle community sharing, this silent retreat offers sacred space to listen for the subtle music of nature’s guiding Wisdom. Together we will explore the deep knowing that transformation, though challenging, carries its own revelatory song of hope—one that can only be heard when we are still enough to listen. “Come forth into the light of things, let nature be your teacher.” -William Wordsworth

Leader: Ann Dean, lover of creation, long time retreat leader and spiritual guide, leader of spiritual formation programs at the Shalem Institute.

Weekend retreats run Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. The silence begins Friday night after dinner when the leader opens the retreat and introduces the theme. The group will gather for brief morning and evening reflections by the leader on Saturday. The silence ends after breakfast Sunday morning with a time of sharing and worship, followed by lunch and departure.

The cost for weekend retreats is $325.  A $150 deposit is required to register.
