Theme: Resting in Silence. Guided by nudges and inspiration from autumn, scripture, and poetry, we will open ourselves to the presence of the Spirit. After an opening reflection Friday night, we will share the silence together, gathering for silent prayer and meals on Saturday. You are invited to come and rest in the sacred container of stillness, spiritual community and the embrace of nature, where we may touch “the peace of God, which passes all understanding.” (Philippians 4:7)
Leader: Nat Reid has been the director of Dayspring Silent Retreat Center for 21 years and is an experienced retreat leader.
Weekend retreats run Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. The silence begins Friday night after dinner when the leader opens the retreat and introduces the theme. The group will gather for morning and evening silent prayer on Saturday. The silence ends after breakfast Sunday morning with a time of sharing and worship, followed by lunch and departure.
The cost for weekend retreats is $300. A $150 deposit is required to register.
Dinner on Friday at 7 pm is the first official gathering. You are welcome to arrive and settle in between 3:30 and 6:30 pm on Friday. The retreat will end by 2 pm on Sunday. Please plan to stay for the entire retreat.
