Winter Rest – A Weekend Retreat

Theme: Winter Rest
The season of Winter invites the gift of sacred rest. To put aside our doing for an extended breath of time and gently attend to the heart of our being. Wherever we find ourselves, we are invited to come home to our deepest self and simply abide there with love. We can learn from Earth’s stillness, quiet waiting, and silent restoration. Under the blanket of silent retreat this weekend, receive the gifts of a crackling fire, nourishing food, and a spirit of renewal alive beneath the surface of things.
Leader: Trish Stefanik is a Dayspring resident and longtime contemplative retreat leader with a deep joy and love of God and a heart for simple beauty, creativity, and compassion.
Weekend retreats run Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. The silence begins Friday night after dinner when the leader opens the retreat and introduces the theme. The group will gather for brief morning and evening reflections by the leader on Saturday. The silence ends after breakfast Sunday morning with a time of sharing and worship, followed by lunch and departure.
The cost for weekend retreats is $325. A $150 deposit is required to register.
Dinner on Friday at 7 pm is the first official gathering. You are welcome to arrive and settle in between 3:30 and 6:30 pm on Friday. The retreat will end by 2 pm on Sunday. Please plan to stay for the entire retreat.
