Finding Peace at the Heart of Change – A Weekend Retreat

October 4 - October 6

Theme: Finding Peace at the Heart of Change

How can the natural beauty of Dayspring and the presence of the gathered community ground and calm us in tumultuous times? Guided movement, centering meditation and walks on the land will open us to claim our relationship to the wondrous, ever-changing world.

Leader: Billy Amoss is the Executive Director of the Rostropovich Foundation, a DC-based non-profit development organization that finances and manages international children’s health programs.   He is also a certified leader of InterPlay, a philosophy and practice of unlocking the wisdom of the body.  Billy is lover of the beauty and centering power of the land at Dayspring, where he is looking forward to leading another silent retreat.

Weekend retreats run Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. The silence begins Friday night after dinner when the leader opens the retreat and introduces the theme. The leader usually offers brief reflections with morning and evening prayers on Saturday. The silence ends after breakfast Sunday morning with a time of sharing and worship, followed by lunch and departure.

The cost for weekend retreats is $275.  A $125 deposit is required to register.

We serve family-style, homemade vegetarian food which includes eggs and dairy. If you have any allergies or medically advised dietary restrictions, please let us know, and we will accommodate your needs if we can.

Please complete this registration form.
Then use the Contact Page form to request assistance.

Dinner on Friday at 7 pm is the first official gathering. You are welcome to arrive and settle in between 3:30 and 6:30 pm on Friday. The retreat will end by 2 pm on Sunday.  Please plan to stay for the entire retreat.
